So we all know that J.R. Smith loves ink and among his latest additions is the logo of the “Supreme” brand that every NBA star seems to be repping these days.
The league seems to not be sharing the same love for the brand, or at least seems intent to uphold the current rules.
According to league spokesman Mike Bass “NBA rules prohibit players from displaying any commercial logos or corporate insignia on their body or in their hair.”
J.R.’s response to to this whole controversy was … amusing to say the least.
The thing is that J.R. Smith has been wearing a Supreme logo sleeve all throughout the last season and no one seemed to be bothered by it. Also Marcin Gortat has the Michael Jordan Jumpman logo as a tattoo even though he is not sponsored by Nike. And again nobody made him cover that up.
What’s your take on the new “tattoo-gate”. Do you think J.R. should be made to cover it up?
